Get2college representatives will be at our school on December 12th to help parents complete the Fafsa and state financial aid forms, but you need an appointment. Call 601-631-2800 and ask for Ms. Tello to schedule your 30 minute appointment.

Markeith Stimage, a 11th grader at Vicksburg High School, made the Mississippi High School Athletics Association Region 2 5A All Region Cross Country team by finishing 7th place with a time of 19:10.55 in the 5K race. The meet was held at Choctaw Trails in Jackson, MS on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017.
The VHS Gators Cross Country team, coached by Clarence Maxey, Jr., will compete in the State Meet on Monday, November 6th.

Below are Get2College's upcoming parent education events, offered free of charge at the lunch hour. They target parents of high school juniors and seniors but are open to everyone. Online registration is required and will open two weeks before the event date.

Get2College

Get2college will be at VHS Thursday morning (Sept 21st), at 9:30 to speak to our seniors. Make sure your child is in attendance. They give wonderful pointers about applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships.

ACT deadline

Parents of Seniors, the deadline for signing up for the next ACT is next Friday. Go to http://actstudent.org to register your child. ACT dates left for this school year are Oct 28, Dec 9, Feb 10, April 14, and June 9. Remember that in Mississippi a 17 in a subject area can substitute for the state test.
