Auditions continue immediately after school on September 9 in the choir room for this year’s musical “The Wizard of Oz”. Auditions are open to all VHS students. There are several non-singing roles this year, such as the Wicked Witch and the Wizard of Oz himself. Audition information can be picked up in the band hall or in room 215. Call backs will be September 15.
The VHS Jr. ROTC will have a 9/11 ceremony on Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The Bobby Huell Appreciation Football Night will begin at 5:00 p.m. on September 11.
The VHS Swim Team will participate in the St. Al Invitation at the City Pool on September 12 beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Selected choral students will participate in the MSU Choral Colloquium on September 13-14 on the campus of Mississippi State University.
Please join VHS in the United Way of West Central Mississippi’s True Color Run on September 19. Register by visiting unitedwayvicksburg.org/run. The school with the highest number of participants will win $500 for their school’s library.
New to VHS: Vicksburg High will have a girl’s and boy’s archery team this year. Please contact the office for more information.
