The VHS Chapter of the National Honor Society recently inducted 27 new
members into this prestigious organization. New members of the Senior Class
are: Rishard Dee, Aja Nelson, and Stefan Young. New members of the Junior
Class are: Destiny Allen, Edward Auttonberry, Karry Callahan, Charity
Davis, De'Andre Davis, Keiyana Gaston, Elishia Howard, Brittney Jenkins,
Ashley Jones, Monique Jones, Makala McKay, Ashley Moore, Olivia Oakes,
Jessica Parson, Alyssa Pugh, Raven Ross, Na'Keia Stewart, Leiana Thornell,
Demetris Valentine, Analiese Wasson, Jamison Watson, Micha Williams, Ronni
Wolfe, and Deshun Younger. The faculty and staff of VHS, parents, and
friends congratulate all of these students for this great accomplishment.
Singe Feast 2014 entitled "The Truth Fairy" will be presented by the VHS
Choral Department on December 12, 7:00 p.m. at the Southern Cultural
Heritage Center. This program is a Renaissance madrigal dinner featuring a
theatrical performance and Christmas concert performed by the students of
the choral department. A four-course dinner provided by Palmertree Catering
will be served. You may reserve your tickets by calling Tracy Smithey at
601-831-1807 by December 5.
All students interested in joining the VHS Praise Choir will need to sign up
with Mrs. Ebony Gardner in Room 14.
Baseball tryouts will be December 1 and 2, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the baseball
practice field. Bring gloves, athletics pants, weather appropriate tops,
tennis shoes or cleats, and a copy of recent medical physical form. Sign up
for tryouts in Office A or Office B.
Students interested in applying for Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society must
sign up outside Room 14 by December 5.
PTO officers for the 2014-2015 are Colin Crasta, president; Billia Knight,
vice president; Sabrina Kingston-Miles, treasurer; and Dannetta Crasta,
secretary. The PTO meets on the third Monday of each month in the VHS
cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. Please submit any items for discussion at a PTO
meeting or any ideas for the betterment of our school to
vicksburghs@gmail.com.

Students, We will be re-testing for SATP when we return from Thanksgiving.

Monday- December 1st- Algebra I
Tuesday- December 2nd- Wednesday- December 3rd- English 2 for last names A-J
Thursday- December 4th- Friday- December 5th- English 2 for last names K-Z
Friday- December 5th - make-up for all Algebra I and English 2
Monday- December 8th- US History
Tuesday- December 9th- Biology for last names A-J
Wednesday- December 10th- Biology for last names K-Z
Thursday- December 11th- make-up for all US History and Biology
