Congratulations to the Vicksburg High Gators Quiz Bowl members for their win at the Black History Quiz Bowl sponsored by the King Solomon Historical Preservation Society. Team members were Warner Buxton, Nicholas Crasta, Mekahel Dotson, and Jessica Parson.
Congratulations to Edward Auttonberry who participated in the Congress-Bunderstag Youth Exchange Program. As a result he will spend a month in Germany.
Praise Choir will rehearse Mar. 18 after school in Room 14. Students need to see Mrs. Gardner or Mr. Peterson for details.
Varsity cheerleader tryout applications are available in Room 217. Tryouts will be Mar. 27. Forms are due by Mar. 18. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Yearbook staff applications for 2015-2016 are available in Room 104.
Students may pick up choir audition agreement form from Mrs. Smith in the Band Hall or Coach Fisackerly in Room 215 for the 2015-2016 school year. Students who do not audition will not be considered for an upper level choir, but will still need to return an agreement form indicating they would like to be considered for choir.
The United Way is offering high school seniors free help with mandatory state tests. Workshops will be held on Mar. 9 and Mar. 10 in the Education Building at Jackson State University and on Mar. 21 and Mar. 28 at Murrah High School. The time at both locations is 8 a.m.-12 noon. Spring Break will be Mar. 9 thru Mar. 13. Students will return to school on Mar. 16.
